Detailed description of goods and services
Nieche Leather is a business in the manufacturing industry that produces and sells leather goods.

Customer Privacy Policy
Nieche Leather (PTY) Ltd., henceforth referred to as Nieche Leather shall take all reasonable steps to protect the personal information of users. For the purpose of this clause, “personal information” shall be defined as detailed in the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 (PAIA). The PAIA may be downloaded from:

Customer details separate from card details
Customer details will be stored by Nieche Leather separately from card details which are entered by the client on PayGate’s secure site. For more detail on PayGate refer to www.paygate.co.za.

Card acquiring and security
Card transactions will be acquired for Nieche Leather via PayGate (PTY) Ltd. Henceforth referred to as PayGate, who are the approved payment gateway for all South African Acquiring Banks. PayGate uses the strictest form of encryption, namely Secure Socket Layer 3 (SSL3) and no card details are stored on the website. Users may go to www.paygate.co.za to view their security certificate and security policy.

Payment options accepted
Payment may be made via Visa and MasterCard.

We make use of  PayGate as our payment gateway. Paygate allows you to pay with all major credit cards. It also enables South African customers to pay via Instant EFT, supporting all major South African banks.

Should you have an issue finalizing your payment, then you may also make use of the manual bank transfer-option. Please send an email to info@niecheleather.com so that we can assist.

Merchant outlet country and transaction currency
The merchant outlet country at the time of presenting payment options to the cardholder is South Africa. Transaction currency is South African Rand (ZAR).

Country of domicile
This website is governed by the laws of South Africa and such other laws which are applicable in the country where you are resident and Nieche Leather chooses as its domicilium citandi et executandi for all purposes under this agreement, whether in respect of court process, notice, or other documents or communication of whatsoever nature in Cape Town, South Africa.

Niech Leather liability
Nieche leather will not be liable for any financial loss or damage to customers’ reputation or goodwill as a result of placing an order with us, or the associated delivery thereof.

Variation
Nieche Leather may, at its sole discretion, change this agreement or any part thereof at any time without notice.

Delivery Policy

  • We ship nationally in South Africa.
  • Subject to availability and receipt of payment, requests will be processed within 5 days and delivery confirmed by way of email.
  • Nieche Leather utilizes Dawn Wing, a well-established and reliable door to door courier service for domestic orders. Dawn Wing expects to deliver all orders within two to five working days, depending on whether the destination is within a main centre, or to an outlying area in the South Africa.

Delivery will be during office hours, Mondays to Fridays. We therefore require a contact number and a Monday to Friday delivery address.

Placing of orders
You will receive an order acknowledgement email within 24 hours of placing your order. Details of products ordered, total cost and an order confirmation number will be supplied.

Order acceptance

  • Acceptance of an order is evident when a product is dispatched. Until we despatch the product(s), no contract will have been formed between the participating parties.
  • Although we hope to be able to supply all products ordered, we reserve the right, at our discretion and without the need to give reasons, to reject any order at any time. If an order is refused, we will advise as soon as reasonably possible.

Production of out-of-stock items
 Certain out of stock products may be made to order. You are welcome to enquire with regards to this.

Personalised items.
Certain lines such as the Trailblazer Vintage Eyewear Case can be personalised with up to three initials at additional cost.  However, there is no provision for the return of such personalised items

 Warranty

  • We pride ourselves on using quality raw materials and strive to manufacture our products to the highest standards. Hand crafting and variations that occur  naturally in  hides and skins add value and authenticity and ensure that each product is unique. Slight naturally occurring blemishes, the inevitable consequence of  environmental attrition, on the farm or in the veldt, add character and individuality to each piece and are intrinsically part of all natural hand made products and to be embraced.
  • The standard warranty for all products is 6 months from date of purchase for material defects and workmanship.

Returns and refunds
The provision of goods and services by Nieche Leather is subject to availability. In cases of non-availability, Nieche Leather will refund the client in full within 15 days.

Product Exchanges

  • We replace items if they are incorrect, OR defective. In the unlikely event that you need to return an item sent to you in error, or wish to exchange a defective item for a similar replacement, please send an email to  info@niecheleather.com  within 10 days of receipt of goods.
  • Once a  return is received and has been  inspected to ensure it has not been damaged and is unused  ,  an email will be sent advising if the request to return and replace it  has been successful
  • Replacement items will be shipped within 14 days
  • Nieche Leather reserves the right to refund customers and not replace goods which have been returned.

Cancelled Orders

  • Cancellation of orders by the client will attract a 10% administration fee if the order has already been shipped.
  • All returned goods are inspected to ensure that they are undamaged and unused.
  • Once a return is received and inspected, an email will be sent advising if the request for a refund has been successful or not.
  • We accept local returns of un-used items purchased from Nieche Leather if returned to us within 30 days from the date of receipt and if in pristine condition. Customers must however notify us of their intention to return within 10 days of receiving the goods
  • Once we receive a return, please allow up to 5 working days for us to process it.
  • Notification of the status of the refund request will be made by email.

Return exclusions

  • International orders are not eligible for returns
  • Personalised items are not eligible for return
  • We reserve the right to elect whether a returned product should be repaired or exchanged, based on a physical inspection of the item in question.  Alternatively in the event that neither of the above are possible we reserve the right to refund the customer.

Products will not be accepted for return or exchange within the 6 month guarantee period if:

  1. They show signs of use as a result of normal wear and tear.
  2. Damage has arisen due to negligence, incorrect use or abuse of the product.
  3. Damage is due to inadequate care that should reasonably have been expected.

Returns procedure

  • Returns can be lodged through the ‘Contact Us’ tab on our website.
  • Should you want to return an item, kindly send an email to info@niecheleather.com
  • Please contact us at to info@niecheleather.com in order to ascertain the correct shipping address before dispatching a return.
  • Shipping costs related to the return of an item will be borne by the customer and
    are non-refundable, if the customer is dissatisfied with the product, but no error was made by Nieche Leather. However, should we have shipped an incorrect or defective item to the customer; shipping costs for the return of the item will be carried by us, provided that Dawn Wing Express Economy Service has been made use of for the return.
  • Responsibility for an item in transit to Nieche Leather rests with the customer until such time as acknowledgment of receipt is supplied by Nieche Leather.
